Greetings, pet lovers! My name is Shaun O'Connor, and I am the owner of Animal Nannies. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota in 1990. I moved to Portland in 1995. I worked in the computer industry until acquiring Animal Nannies. I love Oregon and am proud to call it my home.
I had always wanted a career working with animals. As a small child, I refused to play with dolls and insisted on stuffed animals instead. Having my own pet sitting and dog walking business had been a dream of mine since 1992. After years of research and preparation, it finally came true. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your pets.

My experience with animals includes volunteering at the Minneapolis Animal Humane Society, the Feral Cat Coalition of Portland and the Oregon Humane Society. I also worked at a local cat clinic as a vet assistant and have rescued stray cats. Our current household includes three cats; Pico, Lena and Abby, two
of which were adopted from the Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood. We have
two dogs named Cayton and Ginny. Both were adopted from the Oregon
Humane Society.
I am certified in pet first aid through the Red Cross, have taken dogs to obedience training, and have extensive experience with giving cats injections and subcutaneous fluids due to the chronic renal failure of two of my cats.
